Super Easy Puffy Paint Craft
Prep 5M | Painting and creating – endless fun!
If you’re looking for an easy, no-fuss recipe to keep the kids occupied now that they’re back at home, you’ve come to the right place. You only need four things to get started with this puffy paint: flour, white glue, shaving cream and food colouring of your choice. Grab some construction paper or Bristol board and let the littles go to town making their masterpieces!
Before you begin mixing ingredients, you’ll want to make sure you have squeeze bottles to put your mixtures into, as this paint dries in the air. The sealed bottle will ensure you get to use your paint over and over again—it also helps to prevent unintended spills or messes from your little artists.
Here’s what you’ll need for your magical puffy paint:
¼ cup flour
¼ cup white glue
¾ cup shaving cream
Food colouring of your choice
Glitter of your choice (optional)
Puffy paint is easy to put together—just follow these steps:
- Combine flour, glue, shaving cream and food colouring and glitter of your choice in a bowl.
- Mix well to combine. Do not leave mixture out, as it will dry quite quickly.
- Transfer mixture into plastic squeeze bottles. Ensure bottle cap is sealed when not in use.
- Create your masterpiece!
Get creative! Try a puffy paint rainbow, fish, flowers or even your favourite character. Your puffy paint will last up to five days in the plastic bottle, so no worries if you don’t finish your creation in one go.
