You don’t have to compromise on flavour when making a quick weeknight meal! This pasta dish is full of flavour from the sundried tomatoes, garlic, chicken broth and parmesan cheese. Tailor it to your family’s taste and opt for a mild Italian sausage if spicy isn’t your thing. It’s super quick to make, coming together in less than half an hour for a family-friendly dish with the perfect hunger-crushing combo of protein, fat and fibre to replenish your body after a hard day at work, school or looking after the little ones.
A delicious dinner with less dishes is always going to be a win in our books! Cooking the couscous while the salmon and asparagus are in the oven cuts the prep time in this meal so you can enjoy a warm, balanced meal in 20 minutes. Couscous is a perfect whole-grain option for a weeknight meal because it’s quick cooking and full of gut-friendly fibre. The salmon and asparagus can be cooked on one pan, so you can spend less time cleaning up and more time relaxing.
Slow cooker recipes are one of our favourites. Set the cooker in the morning and come home to a delicious smelling home AND your dinner ingredients are ready for you to assemble! Slow cooker chicken tacos are a crowd pleaser and perfect for families where tastes differ—let them choose what they top it with to make sure everyone gets a dinner they love. Make the chicken flavourful by adding taco seasoning and salsa and let it sit for six to eight hours while you’re busy during the day. Come back and shred the chicken, then all you have to do is pop it in tortillas and add your favourite toppings like cheese, avocado, lettuce, black beans and tomatoes. It’s that simple!
